The World is in Denial

"Denial"
Have we become numb ?
or do we prefer ignorance ?

The world is falling apart with violent attacks, suicide bombs,
and senseless murders.  And yet mankind insists that
nothing in the world has changed. 

Have we humans become so numb that we cannot see that
the world has taken a fatal turn for the worse.?  We are
spiraling downward in our dealings with each other.

Even the weather is exuding death-dealing blows to mankind.

Like the proverbial "monkey" who refuses to see or hear
the evil that surrounds him - have we also refused to see
and hear and get the sense of what is happening to mankind ?

    The World is in Denial

Much like an alcoholic that denies he has a
drinking problem - The world denies that it has
unprecedented troubles.



       Adaptable Denial

Humans are adaptable
to the plight we see today
we do adjust - and deny so much 
of the world and its decay

Many think the coverage
of modern News they give
Is very terse - and looks much worse -  
than the world in which we live

They say that nothing's changing
we have always had distress
but those who are much older
can recall and will confess

That the world-wide situation
is far different from past times
there's a great increase in problems
yes, a great increase in crimes

It's not just isolated
to a place just now and then
It's not just petty larceny
but a slew of murders sent

Out in all directions
each hour of the day
the crazy senseless homocides
as if children just at play

The burning of our churches
the bombing of the mosques
beheadings and dismemberings
the loss of Life it costs

People stabbing people
over trivial minor stuff
people shoot their children
there seems to be no love

Arsonists starting fires
that blaze and burn away
miles of homes and nature
nothing left for them to stay

The violence has no limits
they rape and sodomize
pour acid on each other
gouging out their crying eyes

The Riots and the Protests
as they rampage thru the streets
smashing cars and store front windows
while attacking the police

Shootings for no reason
even in the malls
The schools are plagued with killers
no safety in their halls

Parking Lots offer muggings
where kidnap is a game
for pedophile predators
the whole world's gone insane

The anger of our drivers
who will shoot to kill in rage
if you dare to pass their car up 
just a feature of our age

School teachers and the clergy
having sex with any child
the pornography of violent acts
decent values have gone wild

Children beating strangers
the beggars on the street
killing them with hammers
kicking them with their feet

Mothers butcher children
cutting off their arms
throwing them off bridges
doing them great harm

Pregnant women torn apart
disembowled with a knife
by crazy cold and hateful ones
discarding human life

No one is safe anymore
no matter where you live
people shot while getting mail
or opening their trash lid

Little girls buried alive
after they've been raped
A mother strangled with her son
then thrown into a Lake

Savage men who thirst for blood
eating human flesh
Looking for another meal
a child - small and fresh

To barbeque and cut apart
and stored in plastic bin
Like butchered meat from Deli trays
the modern latest sin

The ravages of nature
a plague that rules each day
Tsunami torment nightmares
The violent winds at play

Disaster upon disaster
eruptions and earthquakes
Volcanic smoke and ashes
flooding rivers and the lakes

Rivers bursting Levees
Mudslides wash away
obstructing even highways
tearing trees along the way

Tornados wreaking havoc
even bricks give way to wind
homes are burst to splinters
destroying everything within

Trucks are blown off highways
by the violent breath of storms
hail the size of softballs
during weather that is warm

Children killed by lightening
as they bowed before a cross
many fried before our eyes
we contemplate the loss

Hurricanes and Cyclones
torment the world today
no place is safe from the evil face
of Nature's Violent way

I think you get the picture
for I could go on with more
as troubled times begin to mount
for we know what is in store

For Christ said that distress would mark
the days of his return
he gave us ample warning
in hopes that we would learn

To stay awake - and be prepared
for that's what Jesus said
pay attention to the world's events
so you will know ahead

That its time to Look for him
and that's what we should do
For Christ warned all to be prepared
yes, everyone of you

It's for this very reason
that I attempt to consolidate
all the clues, I find in the news
before it is too late

No thief can overtake you
If you know that he is near
you'll keep awake, and will be safe
and there will be no fear

The fact that Christ foretold this
left nothing to dismay
we'll be prepared with all he shared
for his final glorious day.

money-hungry, self-promoting, stuck-up,
profane, contemptuous of parents, crude,
coarse, dog-eat-dog, unbending, slanderers,
impulsively wild, savage, cynical, treacherous,

"Oblivious" to
Extreme Weather Changes

UNITED NATIONS (CNN) -- Extreme weather
has plagued the globe this year, a U.N. agency says,
causing some of the highest temperatures on record.
The agency found that climate warming was
unequivocal and unequaled in all recorded history. 
On the other hand - An unusual cold southern winter
brought wind, blizzards and rare snowfall to various
parts of South America, with temperatures reaching
as low as 7 degrees below zero Fahrenheit. 
Southeastern Europe did not escape the unusual
weather. The area suffered record-breaking heat
in June and July. In May, swell waves up to 15
feet high swept into 68 islands in the Maldives,
causing severe flooding and damage. Also in May,
a heat wave swept across Russia. In Sudan, floods
caused 23,000 mud brick homes to collapse.
The rainfall was abnormally heavy and early for
this time of the year.  England and Wales have
experienced flooding in the May-to-July period
and rainfall has broken all records since
record-keeping started in 1766.  Four monsoon
depressions, double the normal number, caused heavy
flooding in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Global
surface temperatures have broken records this year."

The world as we know it

we need intervention
we need God to bless

Yes, soon He will save us

for rejecting "the trinity" doctrine

27th of October 1553

"Shortly after twelve o'clock,
a procession started from the town-hall of Geneva
-the chief magistrates of the city,
the clergy in their robes, the Lieutenant Criminel
and other officers on horseback... and in their midst,
with arms bound, in shabby, dirty clothes,
walked a man of middle age, whose intellectual face
bore the marks of long suffering...
Mounting the hill, the field of Champel was reached,
and here on sight eminence was the fateful stake,
with dangling chains and heaping bundles of faggots.
At this sight the poor victim prostrated himself
on the ground in prayer....
'Misericordia, misericordia!

Bound to the stake by the iron chains,
with a chaplet of straw and green twigs covered

I was recently told that Jehovah's people
do not do any research outside of the Bible.
I was also told that it was wrong to do any
research myself - outside of the Bible in
connection with my religious beliefs.

The Boreans were complimented by
Paul for examining the scriptures daily
to make sure that what they were learning
from the apostles, was actually true.
They only had the Old Testament
(Hebrew Scriptures) at that time.
The Boreans were called "Noble" minded
because of their research.

"Now the Berean Jews were of more
noble character than those in Thessalonica,
for they received the message with great
eagerness and examined the Scriptures
every day to see if what Paul said was
true."

We find in the Dictionary the definition
of "Noble" minded.

"Noble-minded people are people who are open,
people who are searching, who don't assume that
they already know everything. Noble-minded,
yes, but not gullible."

What part does research play in our belief
system ?  Should we be leery or afraid of
research ?  Is it wrong to research outside
of the Bible in our pursuit of spiritual
truth?

There are many things that we have changed in
our belief system because of research done
outside of the Bible.  And what are these ?

There are several good examples.
At one time we celebrated Christmas and
Easter and bowed down before a cross.
We no longer do that due to research done
outside of the Bible.

Many once believed that Jesus died on a cross
because the bible used the word "cross" when
translating "stauros" and "xylon".  Yet due
to research outside of the Bible, we came
to realize that the word "stake" was a more
accurate translation of those two words that
literally mean "wood", "tree", or upright
pole or pale.  We then began to realize that
Christ was impaled on a stake and not crucified
on a cross.  History books outside of the
Bible offered even more support to this evidence.

We did not learn that Christmas and Easter were
pagan holidays from the Bible.  Instead we learned
of their pagan origins and pagan practices by
doing research outside of the Bible.  

Hellfire torment is another belief that has been
rejected by Jehovah's people because of
research done by them in secular sources.

Many Bible use the word "hell" in translating
the word "Gehenna" mentioned in the Bible. 
The Bible speaks of Gehenna as a place where
the fire never goes out - a place of eternal torment. 
But upon researching the word "Gehenna" we
find that it was a place in Christ's day where
garbage and refuse was burned.  Even human
bodies of dead  criminals were disposed of
there.  The fires of Gehenna were kept burning
day and night.  Christ used this 'Gehenna' as an
analogy of the complete and utter destruction of
the wicked on Judgment Day.

On the other hand we learned about "hades" and
"sheol" which are used in the Bible in conjunction
with burial of the dead.  Through research outside
of the Bible we found that these two words mean
"to cover over" or to "conceal". 

Christ rested in "hades" for 3 days before he was
resurrected.  The faithful man "Job" prayed to die
and go to sheol where he could rest and escape
from his pain. 

So we see that our research outside of the Bible
has helped in our understanding of the scriptures.
It helped us to see that the belief in HellFire
Torment came from the pagans and was adopted
by the Roman Church during her days of Apostasy
and quest to rule the world.

There are many other religious beliefs
(too numerous to mention here) that have
been enhanced by doing research outside
of the Bible.   Such research improves
our insight into the Scriptures.

 So, yes, research outside of the Bible is very
helpful in helping us to understand the Bible better
and in supporting our unending faith in Jehovah
God .

Also, since "Correctores" were hired by the
Apostate Roman Church in order to rewrite
certain areas of the Bible to support their newly
adopted beliefs, we realize even more so,
our need to do research outside of the Bible
in order to discern those spurious scriptures
that have crept their way into the Bible over
the years.   A good example of this was their
removal of God's Name "Jehovah" from the
Bible in almost seven thousand places.  Also
their changing the word "Passover" to the
word "Easter" in honor of the Fertility goddess
named "Easter" or "Ashtoreth".   They even
changed many scriptures to support their
trinity god by making sly changes like 
"the son of God" to "God, the son".

Anyone who has ever read a Watchtower or
Awake magazine is well aware of the fact that
Jehovah's people do use research outside of the
Bible in writing their articles.  They even quote
the sources of their findings for the whole world
to see.

So the research that we do outside of our Bibles,
in conjunction with a sound mind, and deep respect
for the Bible and for Jehovah, can be of real value
to Christian servants of God.
